Fun ways to stay in shape without a gym - our tips for outdoor workouts in Barcelona
Hate the gym but want to do sports and stay in shape? In the
summer heat it’s not always the most tempting option to workout
indoors. I’m glad there are plenty of other options for getting fit in
Barcelona! Try out these five options to have fun and enjoy the sunny summer while
exercising:
Beach Fit Barcelona

Barcelona Holistic Bootcamp
Two lovely Swedish girls, nutritionist Teresia and
personal trainer Sofia decided to team up and that’s how Barcelona Holistic
Bootcamp was born.
I took part Healthy
Body & Mind with Barcelona Holistic Bootcamp, an event that included a
yoga class by Sofia followed by a healthy dinner prepared by Teresia while
having an interesting talk about nutrition and how to stay healthy during the
summer. When I walked back home after the event I was feeling recharged, happy
and calm – had a huge smile on my face still on the next day at work. Addition
to these events, the girls offer private coaching and organize other events for
example boot camps (there are couple of boot camps starting in September, the Beginners boost and one for more advanced trainers) and Scandinavian Beach Brunch and Yoga Movement that includes morning
workout and a plant-based brunch on the beach. Find more info and sign up to
the events on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/barcelonaholisticbootcamp/.
Tip: If you feel lazy to cook by yourself but want to eat healthy,
why wouldn’t you try Trybe app! Pick up the dish and meet the chef, or order
delivery to your door. Find more info here https://try.be/.

Pilates SUP Beach Barcelona
Use a SUP board as your Pilates mat! Pilates SUP Beach
Barcelona will offer you a total body conditioning and balance training that
makes you feel amazing and lets you enjoy the sea in the most healthy way. You
will get to challenge yourself, have fun and meet new people at the same time! Read

Expats Boxing Barcelona
Jaimy is an inspirational Dutch lady who decided to make her dream
come true and move to sunny Barcelona last year. Now she is sharing her passion and
knowledge with others and giving boxing classes for girls in English, normally
twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays either at Parc de Diagonal Mar or near
Park Güell. The classes include a short warm-up followed by boxing exercises in
pairs, and all levels are welcome. Pack your skipping rope and boxing gloves with
you (you can find them really cheap for example in Decathlon) and join the
group! Find out more about the events on Facebook by finding her group “Expats
boxing Barcelona”.
Happy Soul Yoga
“Yoga is not about touching your toes, it’s about what you
learn on your way down”.
It’s easy to get addicted to
Veronika’s outdoor yoga classes! Happy Soul Yoga has outdoor yoga classes
weekly on the beach (normally at Barceloneta but sometimes also at Platja de la
Mar Bella) and in the park (Parc de la Ciutadella) as well as Full Moon Yoga every
month. The cost of a drop-in class is 5 to 10 euros depending on the event.
Veronika is a lovely and encouraging yoga teacher – the classes make you forget
about everything for a while, empty your mind and focus on the present. Find
more info on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/HappySoulYogaBarcelona/.
In my opinion working out should be fun and in these events it’s
not just about taking care of yourself and having a good exercise but also about
meeting many nice new like-minded people! Stay tuned for more tips for outdoor
workouts in Barcelona ;)
Love,
Kristiina in Barcelona
